The exhibition is open Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The last guided tour departs at 3:00 PM. We are closed on Fridays, Saturdays and official public holidays.
No. Admission and guided tours are completely free of charge for all visitors — individuals, families, school groups and official delegations alike.
An advance reservation is strongly recommended — especially for groups of six or more — so we can plan the right guide and pacing. Walk-ins are welcome subject to capacity on the day.
Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours across the nine interactive galleries. Tours run at a comfortable pace and include time for questions; you're welcome to linger afterwards.
Guided tours are conducted in Arabic and English. Please indicate your preferred language when reserving so the right guide is on hand.
Yes. Use the reservation form above and choose School or Official as the tour type. For larger delegations we recommend booking at least a week ahead so we can tailor the route and brief the guide.
Yes — the entire exhibition is wheelchair friendly, with step-free routes between all nine galleries and accessible restrooms. Please note any special-needs requirements when reserving so we can assist you on arrival.
Yes. Free car and bus parking is available on-site, directly adjacent to the exhibition entrance — no permit required.
Personal photography is welcome throughout most of the exhibition. Tripods, video shoots and professional or commercial photography require prior approval — please contact us in advance.
Yes — the gift shop offers a curated selection of souvenirs and a dedicated oil-themed children's collection developed by KOC. It's a perfect way to remember the visit.
Yes. Among the most moving moments is the Heroes of Fire gallery, where documentary footage and immersive environments tell the story of the 1991 oil-well fires and the teams who extinguished them. Several galleries also feature short films and multimedia displays throughout the tour.
Absolutely. The galleries are family friendly, with interactive, hands-on displays and content presented in an accessible way that children enjoy. The gift shop also carries a dedicated oil-themed children's collection.
